The twin towers of Cannon Street station frame our 7-car DEMU as it waits at London Cannon Street station, prior to beginning the Hastings Time Traveller excursion.

Saturday 13 November 2004 has remained beautifully clear (at the time of writing!), with deep blue sky and not a cloud in sight. A fine setting for The Lord Mayor’s Show which is taking place in The City now. (See also the flyer for the London Tripper excursion.)

Motor coach Mountfield brings up the rear at Cannon Street, in the gloom beneath the concrete “raft” which replaced the classic trainshed in the 1960s and allowed development of the space above.
