On 10 October 2003 HDL learned from Her Majesty’s Railway Inspectorate (now the Office of Rail Regulation) that we have been awarded a 10-year exemption from the “Mark I” rolling-stock ban, enabling us to continue running our DEMU in preservation. This clears the way for us to progress our ideas for excursions in 2004.
