On 10 October 2003 HDL learned from Her Majesty’s Railway Inspectorate (now the [Office of Rail Regulation]) that we have been awarded a [10-year exemption from the “Mark I” rolling-stock ban], enabling us to continue running our DEMU in preservation. This clears the way for us to progress our ideas for excursions in 2004.
